The most recent music festival to bring in the pot smokers was Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in sunny Las Vegas. This is one of the biggest electronic dance music festivals in the world, with venues in California, Florida, Nevada, New York, Texas, Mexico, and more. Last year the event drew more than 400,000 people to Las Vegas, and that number was even higher this year.
With annual shows in Seattle and Las Vegas, HempFest is another big event that has made its way around the country. California Roots ginormous music and arts festival is held in Monterey, California. This reggae festival is full of love, smiles, and marijuana. Performers included Damian Marley, Stephen Marley, Slightly Stoopid, The Expendables, Rebelution, and many more pro-marijuana musical talent.
This event is more than just a music festival, it’s a “catalyst for collective transformation.” It’s an intimate music festival that was influenced by the Burning Man culture and includes electronic music, art installations, dance, and more. Now in its 45th year, Bumbershoot is a Seattle, WA, music tradition. This three-day event includes music, art, theatre, comedy, and dance. Music guests this year include Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Death Cab for Cutie, DJ Snake, Zeds Dead, Third Eye Blind, and much more.
The Northern Nights music festival is one of the many smaller EDM festivals happening around the country. This festival is located in Humboldt County, California, and includes music, camping and all day river floating.
While this is not a music festival persia, it is the king of all marijuana friendly festivals and deserves an honorary mention.This event truly is a city in the desert, with 70,000 attendees capped in 2015. This unusual festival experience includes giant pieces of artwork, with the 60-foot tall Burning Man at the center, electronic music, radical inclusion of all guests, and many other inclusive experiences.
