Best Method of Ingestion for This Condition
There is limited research available on the positive effects associated with PTSD and marijuana use. However, emerging research is beginning to show how beneficial medical marijuana is for anxiety disorders like PTSD. Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the many different compounds found in cannabis marijuana, including THC. Cannabidiol has many of the same medical benefits of THC in marijuana, but without the psychological “high” that can cause some users with PTSD more anxiety.
Patients can take this type of marijuana as a concentrate or edible and even topically. Users with PTSD may get the most benefit from taking CBD as a concentrated oil in capsule or as a spray. Some users find benefits from medical marijuana with a higher THC count, but every user is different, so it’s best to try low doses to determine possible benefit first.
